| Nick tries to notify people who care about Gatsby, but in the end see that no one took the time to know him. Everyone hung on for the ride, but once it was over turned and walked on to the next best thing. Gatsby's father comes, we see a bit of insight into Gatsby, but mostly see that the father idolizes his son with the same blindness that his son idolized Daisy. Nick returns to the west. | |

| I'm sure this is the same way in society today. Everyone is along for the ride. Well put Kelley. I did enjoy this book more than some of the others. It was quick and to the point.
Hmmmmm. | |

| Gatsby led a very wellorganized life even in childhood. He was a bit of a golden boy even then and his father felt he would be someone. The bit that the father shared with Nick that was documented in the childhood book of gatsbys about how Gatsby spen his day was interesting. He was a very driven human being. Too bad it came to nothing | |
