OK, K consults his lawyer and he tells him to do nothing. That is a bit odd.

Then a business associate tells him to go see a "painter" and see if he has heard of anything when he was working in the Court.

The painter said he did and that he had three options. I think that it is real weird that all the buildings have law offices in the attic.

Still no crime mentioned.

Interesting how this is coming around. This chapter seems to let us in on the corruptness of the entire law system. We get a better glimps at exactly how things work, and how intertwined the whole thing is. For as long as the chapter is, not much comes of it.
