| Chapter 6
K.'s uncle comes to try to help K. through his trial. Everyone now seems to know quite a bit about the trial, and we still don't know what he has been arrested for. K and his uncle go to a lawyer to try to get some information and a set a plan. During the conversation, K steps away and meets with the nurse (and lawyer's mistress) and sleeps with her.
We don't know why all of these women seem so attracted to K. all of a sudden.
K.'s interaction and lack of interaction is bizarre. The flow of information is unnaturaly. This novel's pace is somewhat dream like, in that it probably makes sense while you are dreaming, but not when the story is retold. | |

| K's uncle steps in and K seems to respond to him initially. Apparently the times warrant that men can sleep with lower class women and it's alright.
He lets his hormones get the best of him and has his way with Leni at the expense of his welfare. | |
