The affair continues...I did think it was interesting that the actual details of the affair are never shared, just the knowledge that it is occuring.

How about how colorlessly the author paints Wilson and the story of he and his wifes life? I wondered how Tom ever got to know myrtle and whyhe would associate with her other than her animal like seductiveness. Tom seemed too into himself and his position to be bothered with someone from such low class society and yet he gave her an apartment and things, which Wilson seemed clueless about
