Any final thoughts on Pride and Prejudice, now that you have read the whole book, and can put together a complete analysis??

I loved this book!! I could barely put it down. I enjoyed the strength of the characters, and lessons of the story. It was nice to read something that didn't require so much analysis to understand the underlying meaning, and it of course, is such a happy ending.
I also enjoy that it seems some what current, many of the issues they were facing still have ties to today's society.
I think that I will read a bit more Austen while waiting for the next book to start. Very Happy

I enjoyed the turning of events in the plot. I did not enjoy all the talk about nothing. I am aware that the story is mainly being relayed to us through dialogue.

I like more action and progression of time.

Have we figured out why this might be a classic? I would think because of the excellent use of dialogue to tell the story. Austen also brings in a life long problem of class-conscious problems.

That was the era that we are reading about, I do understand that.
