| I wasn't captivated by this book by any means, but I did find it very interesting to read SparkNotes. Each section seemed to use a different type of writing technique, that upon reflection, increased the depth of the novel. I wish I were able to pick up on these techniques on my own, but I am getting better. | |

| This book did drone on. I didn't see any of the different techniques in writing. It has been a few weeks for me reading this so the specific techniques is too far behind in my memory. | |

| I always like reading the spark notes to see what I missed and there is always something. It helps me see the ponts the author was trying to make and makes me think about what I have read from a different angle. i didn't think the book was that bad, but I am like you, Marti, wondering why it would be considered a classic. | |
