FINAL THOUGHTS

Well I loved this book. I think that if you went with each side story and embraced it, it would be enjoyable and that's how I approached it.

I do think that this book was not named appropriately. Anna was a strong character, but she wasn't the only one that committed adultry and she wasn't the only one who was miserable. I think that this book should have been named something like the word for infidelity in Russia.

I agree with Kelley that the book should have ended with Part VII when Anna killed herself.

Good read. I enjoyed this journey.

I really liked this book, too. It was interesting in many ways and relly gave me an understanding of what life may have been like during Tolstoys time in that area. I could have done with less time spent on the political points and he diverged often when I would want to know what happend next to the characters, but I am glad to have read it. as you both said, the final part was not the best ending. I would have liked to know if Kaenin hooked up with lydia and maybe a little point about what her son was thinking. Other than Vronskys mothers comment we didn't get any womans perspective of Anna's death.

Overall it seems like we all enjoyed the book. I really enjoyed both of your input on the characters and story lines!! I love this Group!!
