| The party begins, and Clarissa is constantly worrying if it will be a success, in fact she is so caught up in appearances she barely interacts with anyone.
She hears of Septimus's death, and intitially seems more worried that the talk of it will ruin her party. Then she begins to contemplate his escape v. her life.
She doesn't interact with Sally or Peter. She is too fond of remembering them 30 years ago, instead of the reality of the present day. | |
