| Mrs. Dalloway feels conflicted about her choices in love. She has married Richard for a comfortable and conservative life, but realizes that their marriage isn't as close as she desires. She feels jealous of him going to a luncheon, and that she wasn't invited by the hostess or her husband. She reminises about her love for Sally and Peter, both passionate and risky loves. Peter comes to visit, which continues to fan the flames of her memories. | |
