| Peter begins to wonder if he really loves Daisy, or if he is still in love with Clarissa. He dozes and dreams of his past with Clarissa and all of its complexities.
Rezia sits with Septimus, feeling sad about her situation and how unhappy the two of the are. We get a glimps at Septimus's life up to now. We see that he was in love with another woman, and how the war affected him.
I didn't realize how young Septimus and Rezia are, for some reason I was picturing them as an older couple until this section. Then I realized that she is 28, he must not be much older.
It is interesting to see how the characters view each other, and how different their views of the same outside stimulus is. | |
