It finally comes together and the mystery is solved. Through the whole story I was trying to figure out which of the characters already introduced could be Monks, interestingly he wasn't introduced to us in any other manner. (which differs from many mysteries of our time, which allow the reader a chance to figure it out as they read)

Of course all of the characters got what they deserved in the end, and each punishment was the extreme. The "bad" characters were all killed in some way or another the "good" all live together in a wonderful neighborhood.

The flow of the book picks up at the end. I was happy to see that most of the villians got their justice. Rose's character surprised me that they were related. It goes to show you that sometimes there are just intuitions inside people, whether it is judging someone or being someones kin. Mr. Brownlow had a strong character and I liked that.

I would have liked to see what Nancy would have done if she was still alive after Sykes and Fagin were gone.

I wonder if Nancy would have 'gown down with the ship'. She probably would have ended up at the gallows too. But you are right, it is interesting to think if she would have turned her life around, without the influence of those two.

how did you like that roses stain was that her big sister got pregnant out of wedlock? How about that if the baby born out of wedlock was a girls she would inherite Mr. Leesfords fortune outright, but if it was a boy, he could have committed no crime or lose it all?
I liked how tidily it came together and how justice was mostly served!

I thought that was pretty sad too, that she wasn't going to marry Harry because of her sister's "sin". But then we saw that same sort of thinking in P&P with Lydia's behavior.
