| This setion made it all worth it. The truth comes out and, of course, our heroine is given what she asked for. A life of unhappiness. I didn't really get a lot out of the writing style. Most of this novel was like the other European Literature that was so drabby.
I was glad to finish it. I have to admit that this is a good "classic" to head over to the Huck Finn story. | |

I liked that we full circle back to Gardencourt, the paintings, the ghost. Mr. Goodwood loved Isabel until the end, and was always willing to do anything for her happiness. I was sad that she went back to Rome, but a part of me wasn't surprised. | |
