In these chapters the narrator comes to realize that the brotherhood has been using them for their own purposes and that they paln to sacrifice the balacks of harlem for a larger piece of pie. the narrator remembers his grandfather words and he will “yes, agree, and grin the Brotherhood to death.” he decides to find a woman who will spill brotherhood secrets to him to help bring down the brotherhood.
