Just finished reading a wonderful book about a country doctor in an Amish community.
Dr. Elton Lehman won "Country Doctor of the Year" and worked in their community for over 35 years. He started a Birthing Center which catered to the amish culture of no electricity and simplicity.
There were many funny and sad stories in this book. It is a quick read and one you start reading the first paragraph of the chapter and at least have to finish that particular chapter because you have to know how it worked out.
He delivered over 6,000 babies in his career. I recommend this book for a break and some humor.
