| Fagin manipulates his gang only with his own interests in mind..and reveals Nancy’s words to Sikes with no concern as to what will happen to her. Sikes commits murder but, thank God, he is haunted by it! I didn't think we would have a revisitation of Noah and Charlotte, but it is interesting how dickens continues to re-introduce characters from earlier parts of the book. | |

| I agree that Fagin manipulates his gang, especially Sikes' anger. He pushed Sikes into a murderous rage, I think in hopes that he would kill Nancy, so that she wouldn't turn Fagin in.
I am glad that Sikes was haunted by his actions. And that he is so paranoid that he can barely function, it is is just deserve.
Interesting that Noah was the one who turned Nancy in, though not too surprising since he fits right in with Fagin's gang.

| Fagin is showing his selfishness. Most thieves are that way. He doesn't even have any compassion about a dog.
I enjoyed Dodger's court scene. He definitely doesn't care about the outcome.
Nancy does get many offers to get away from Sykes. I just can't understand that logic.
