So far I am really enjoying the imagery in this novel. We are starting to get a feel for the characters and the way they are reacting to the murder. I am about half way done with this chapter, but the lawyer is very interesting, I am curious about his motives, and am not quite sure I believe him about a bone. Angus also seems like he has something hidden, especially from his wife.

haha It is hard to keep finding things that will work for us... I am looking forward to hearing what your choice will be...my mom came up this weekend and we ran by Barnes and Noble and she picked up her copy of the Thirteenth Tale...

I also made a pretty cool timeline on the computer of the books we are reading, I'll have to send you a copy.

I am enjoying this choice also.

I find it intriguing that they closed off the house with cord and wax to make sure no one has gotten in.

Mrs. Ross is the one I'm going to watch. She found that paper with a code in the flour. Could this be what was suppose to be written on the "bone?"

Francis is an odd bird too. He was adopted at age five and didn't really blend in with the family.

Mr. Ross doesn't like him much and Mrs. Ross will apparently do anything for him.

I FINALLY got the book thi weekende and have reallly like it. I woner at the allusions that Mrs. Ross makes abouat her past and the things she has done and experienced.
Obviously the cord and wax did n't make much of an impression on folks as several people came and went from the house.
i thought it was interesting that Mrs Rosses husband came inside the house. He and his wife don't have much of a relationship it doesn't look like.
She suffered alot losing her child and it looks like she put a lot into Francis. Interesting how the nuns dressed him like a girl with the hopes of getting him placed in a home

I think the bone had a code on it and that's what was found in the flour.
