I believe that this one will be on our list somewhere down the road. It was really interesting to read. This book was written 1500 years before Homer, and almost 5000 years ago. Gilgamesh was a real king who ruled in about 2700 BC. His story was recorded in cuniform on many clay tablets. They have been found in many places in the middle east. Recently archeologists found the ruins of the city and the brick walls that Gilgamesh was famous for building. The site is in Iraq, and in 2003 the escavation had to be postponed due to the war.

Very interesting and a quick read. This book has really made me think about a lot of things. Definitely good for discussion, if anyone wants to read it now, or else we will pick it up when it comes up on the list.
