I have to say that I love my dog picture you picked out for me Kelley.

Una finds a wonderful friend in Judge Lord. He takes her to Boston and helps her furnish her housing. Una came from such a simple lifestyle and at times had nothing. She does a commendable job and remembering those times. She still feels strong about a woman knowing how to sew to make her way in life. While Una is in Boston she meets Margaret Fuller. This relationship is a bit odd to me. Margaret is a socialite and Una really is not impressed with that portion of her. What is great is that all Una is interested in is the artistic culture that they can share.

Una realized she's pregnant when she gets back to Nantucket. Charlotte comes to her crying that Kit is dead. Una doesn't correct her. I'm sure that Una thinks that Charlotte will be better to move on with her life. Is that really Una's place to make that judgment. Una is probably having a bit of a conflict of her own. Selfishness vs. moral obligation to self.

Una has confided so much in Charlotte that she suggests that they move the Try Pots Tavern closer to town to expand the business and so that Una could have a dear friend closer. Una puts up some of the money for this venture. Una is very kind.

I can't imagine what a change it is for her to live in Heather's Moore after growing up in a Kentucky cabin, a light house or on a ship.

I am glad that she has a friend in Judge Lord.

I was curious also how she adapted to Heather's Moor. I felt that she really didn't love it, but it was Ahab's so she embraced it willingly.

This also made me feel that her love for Ahab was stronger than any other love she had in her life. She actually had many people that loved her, some that adored her, and very few that she couldn't get along with.

The author did an excellent job of continuing our curiousity of what is going to happen. We know that Ahab was going to die, and we got the sympathy of their relationship.

Don't you hate knowing Ahab's fate, both his leg and his death. I think it is heart breaking to think about it.

At this point, I wanted to know how she would overcome her love for Ahab and get into a third union.
