| During the fire Ahab is at the top of the church. Una wants to see the fire from above also. They meet there and decide that they should become man and wife.
What makes this decision so right for them? It's odd that he takes her to the boat and asks her to marry him there. That was the place that Kit and her got married. Maybe this is how they have to make peace with Kit and Una's parting.
After her honeymoon and Ahab is out to sea she sees Isaac live and well. Does this hurt Una? Was she really in love with Isaac? I think it is ironic that Charlotte married Mr. Hussey when she found out the Kit was dead and now Una married Ahab after she knew Isaac was dead. Is there something going on there? | |

| Wow, that was a quick marriage, though I thought that it was appropriate. I didn't get the impression that Una was actually in love with Isaac, just thought of him as a friend, and grieved the loss of someone kind. | |

| Don't you love how quick some of this moves. A real change of pace from some of the poopy books we were "learning" from. | |
