| Una's childhood in Kentucky could have been wonderful. Because her father was a Quaker from Rhode Island he was a bit of a holy roller. I have read many, many books during the growth of our country and I really have never heard of a child being sent away because of her disbelief in God. That threw me a bit. She obviously got the better end of the deal.

| I think that it is sad to think that people get so tied in to one set of beliefs (like the father) that they will let thier children or other loved ones go. | |

| How about parents who are so caught up in thier religion that they will give thier 12 year olds to old men? Sacrifce their sons on alters? hmmmmm? | |
