I've been busy too. I thought I had the book and didn't so I had to go to the library. I am on it now.

Back on track.

First question I had was what does mirth mean?

Mirth - laughter or amusement

This book sounds a little uplifting already.

Undoubtably the most intersting part of the novel was reading SparkNotes information on the class of novels called the Novel of Manners. I found it an interesting style, and surprising that we have read two of the books as classics.

I took a few days off from reading anything but news magazines. I have the book and will catch up to you guys.
Iam on chapter 7 and haven't read anything particulary funny (or mirthful) yet!

I had to get caught up on my Time magazine too, and I just finished An Inconvient Truth. I am reading The Club Dumas, on my off time.

I have a friend who gets Time. I asked if she would save this weeks issue for me. I had 6 weeks of the Week and two Newsweeks to read. They really pile up. I like to read them since I don't watch news on television and only catch the headlines on the radio.
